Top 10 best looking F1 cars rank: Williams FW 14B, Eagle and more


This is one of the Classic Formula 1 debate: What are the best looking cars ever? This, of course, is completely subjective, especially fans of different ages prefer different ages and therefore, feel connected to some cars than others. But this is still fun for logic, especially when the liveris are also factor in the mixture.

In the selection of autosport, we have tried to spread happiness in constructors and periods – although some were beyond help. For example, you will not find any car from a terrible 2009-16 ‘Skiny’ period.

We kept preparing this list again but finally you have to do it, so here we are finished. Let’s start the beration!

10. Ligrier js11/15

Year: 1979-1980

Everyone helped Ferrari win the title of constructive, but lead driver Michael Schumacher missed six races after breaking his leg in the British GP and Hakikin was able to pipe AD Irwin into the crown of drivers in Suzuka Finale.

The groved-tire was not the best of Era F1, but McClance was looking for the best of time, and mid-hit narrow nose, clean sidpods and waste livelihood help to get mp4-14 in our list.

7. Williams FW14B

Year: 1992

Designer: Adrian Navy, Patrick Head

One of the great F1 cars, FW14B combined active suspension and traction control to transfer technical goals in 1992. Nigel Mencell won nine out of 16 races, which was a record at that time, in his way for the title of drivers.

One of the most prominent machines in F1 history, FW14B was beaten only once in the position of pole, in Canadian GP by Erton Army. It also looked fantastic, especially the red five of the mangel added an additional splash of color to the already reputed blue, yellow and white Williams scheme.

The FW14B had an attractive low nose, which was soon to go out of fashion, partially due to a much more ugly beneton. The body was also smooth and uncontrolled – barjboard and complex aero flicks had not yet come up to enough.

In some ways, the 1993 FW15C was a neater machine, but we do not think it is enough as to impose FW14B – and it was to use narrow rear tires due to a rule change aimed at controlling the lap time.

6. Brabham Bt45B

Year: 1977

1975 BT44B certainly had a cooler overall size, which was completed with high airbox, but, for us, BT45B’s Red Martini Leevari Now! Take it beyond your white ejaculation.

Murray’s BT46 Natter was more successful for 1978, especially when a giant fan Swedish was taken backwards for GP, but its nose was not aggressive as a specific Breham Front Wings on BT 44 and BT45.

5. Lotus 72

Year: 1970-75

Designer: Maurice Philip, Colin Chapman

Many cars do not get to wear two of the largest motorsport liveris, but the revolutionary Lotus 72. It won both the constructs and drivers in the Gold Leaf Colors in 1970, although Jochen Rindt lost his life in Monza, before he knew he was the champion. Then, in John Player Special’s famous Black and Gold, 72 won crowns of constructs in 1972 and 1973, in which Emeron Fitpledi took Drivers Championship in 1972.

This is the most successful car in this list, in the context of the World Championship F1 win, with a notable 20 wins. Wage-shaped surprise, which helped set the template with their side-mounted radiators for future single-seater designs, changed a great deal during his six-season life in F1.

The version you like is open to debate, but we have gone to 1973 72e, hanging out from behind with the rear wing, before the change in the rule took it to a low derogatory position.

The specific helmets of Fitpledi and Ronnie Peterson added to the appeal and helped produce some iconic images, of which at least the superwade via Woodkot in Silverstone was not sideways.

4. Eagle T1G

Although many of the beautiful, 1960s cigar-shaped F1 cars lack beefness from the peak of the game, especially during the 1.5-liter era. The 1962 ‘Stackpipe’ BRM P57 almost created this list, but it is the popular eagle-weslake of Lane Terry which is our pick since decade.

The first GP Eagle, which is usually referred to as T1G, had the correct combination of beauty and aggression, the pointed nose helps to separate it from its contemporaries.

The three-liter car was also early. Dan Garnani won both brand Hatch Race of Champions and Belgium GP – Spa win at an average speed of 146mph – in 1967, but credibility problems prevented further success.

Cosworth DFV-attached Lotus 49, another car may have been put on this list, transferred to the goalpost during the season and soon due to lack of funding, Gurni’s team focused on indycar racing.

3. Ferrari 641

Year: 1990

We wanted to squeeze the Lon House CG901 of the Adrian Navy in this list, but we have tried to get a good spread of ERA and two cars from one season. McLaren MP4/5B, who won both titles in 1990, was also a good -looking car, but it is Ferrari’s contender who gets narrowly noded.

2. Jordan 191

Some teams have made such a big impact on their arrival in F1 as Jordan. Designer Gary Anderson’s 191 was not only surprisingly fast, it was beautiful. The curvy curves, which also expanded to the specific nose and front wing, and the simple 7UP Green Leevari made it an immediate modern classic.

At a time as a new team, when there were more F1 cars than the blanks on the grid, Jordan initially had to pre-default, but 191 regularly did a relatively easy task for drivers Andrea Dey Cesaris and Burtrand Gachot. Jordan scored its first points in Canadian GP and the team finished fifth in the constructs table, only behind big hits McLaren, Williams, Ferrari and Benetton.

191 also helped Michael Schumacar launch his F1 career, with a surprising performance in the spa, and D Cesaris may have won Belgium GP, it was not for engine failure, the engine supplier results of a wrong communication between Cosworth and team.

1. Lotus 79

Year: 1978

Ground-breaking design? check. Iconic Lever? check. Uncontrolled lines? check. Beautiful engineering? check.

Lotus 79, which refined the concept of ground effect and dominated the F1 season of 1978, ticks all boxes for this list. It is also even more impressive in meat, as it is in images of the famous period of Mario Andrati and Ronnie Peterson.

Compared to Lotus 78, Lower, Natter and Sleaker, which was earlier, 79 made their debut in Belgium GP in Andreti’s hands and ended 1–2 in Spain next time. It was only beaten to pole once only during the campaign, although the odd credibility issue for Andrati in Monza and Jump-Start Penalty meant Only Won six out of 11 championship rounds launched in 1978.

By 1979, the opposition had caught the ground effect and Lotus 79 was limited to four podiums. Even then it looked impressive in its green martini liver, but it is the JPS-liverid origin that worthy acquires our top location.
