Full Moon

The FULL MOON/Lunar Eclipse occurs on Friday, March 14th, 2025, at 2:54 AM EDT.

Early Friday, a Full Moon occurs when the Sun in Pisces forms an opposition to the Moon in Virgo. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. Certainly, it can be an emotional time – a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.

This phase of the Moon occurs at 23 degrees and 57 minutes of Virgo opposite the Sun at 23 degrees and 57 minutes of Pisces.

It’s the second eclipse in a set of seven occurring along the Virgo-Pisces axis from September 17th, 2024, to February 20th, 2027. The first one was a Lunar Eclipse in Pisces. While we’ve been focusing on building our faith since September 2024, this March eclipse in Virgo prompts us to consider getting organized and how it affects the work-rest balance.

This eclipse serves as a prompt, nudge, or push to make improvements in Virgo- and Pisces-ruled areas of life in our charts, and feelings of discontent can magnify. It’s a time to resolve matters, strike a balance, take a lesson, and move on, but take some time with this–eclipses can temporarily hide a part of our lives for us to focus on another. Ultimately, we should be striving for a balance.

The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse Chart:

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Virgo Chart: March 14th, 2025

This phase of the Moon occurs at 23 degrees and 57 minutes of Virgo opposite the Sun at the same degree of Pisces, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 19 to 29 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) most significantly.

Lunar Eclipses are about relationships and polarities. With the Virgo-Pisces axis involved, this Lunar Eclipse presses us to look more closely at our needs, lacks, and wants concerning the balance between Virgo-ruled and Pisces-ruled areas of life. We are encouraged to find a balance between day-to-day functions and routines, physical health, and the need for order (Virgo) and vision, spiritual health, disorder, and the infinite (Pisces).

Read more about this and other eclipses affecting our lives in Eclipses/Lunations.

Virgo rules the tools and techniques we use to deal with day-to-day life, while Pisces rules the tools we use to deal with our spiritual selves. The key to balance lies in identifying and expressing our spiritual needs while maintaining order in our everyday lives. Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire–we would either be living in chaos or excessive order.

The contrast between precise, logical, work-centered, factual Virgo and spiritual, compassionate, holistic Pisces comes full bloom. The energy of the Virgo Moon is the awareness of the need for more precision, attention to detail, and responsibility. The Pisces Sun, on the other hand, is visionary–focused on what’s universal and hard to define.

This Full Moon is about emotional declarations. Something has been building inside of us, likely of a personal nature, and now is the time when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that we let it out. Over the coming months, we will discover what this declaration means for us. For now, it’s difficult to sit on our feelings. We need to express them.

With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic “illumination” occurs in our own lives. However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as there is a sense of emotions bursting forth into our consciousness. It’s time to express ourselves, and to let things out of our systems. Of course, we might want to exercise some care while doing so, knowing that what is coming out of us is new and not particularly rational as yet.

This total Lunar Eclipse urges us to strike a balance between work and service, practicality and impracticality, criticism and acceptance.

This eclipse is about awakening to the need to enjoy more order in our lives. This is an eyes-wide-open time for our work, habits, health, and routines. We are likely to receive strong messages from our intuition regarding our next move along these lines.

Emotions, feelings, and revelations in the weeks following this eclipse are pivotal. This is a rewarding Full Moon eclipse, ripe with possibilities and learning experiences. However, it can take some time before we get the whole picture.

A crisis of sorts (which can be a crisis of consciousness) or sudden awareness of a lack in our lives provides us with a golden opportunity to explore our emotional needs within the context of the house polarity where the eclipse occurs in our natal charts.

Relationships may be challenged, broken, or strengthened at this time. Our discovery is emotionally charged and dramatic–everything feels big and larger than life at this time. Epiphanies are likely as we become acutely aware of our lack. This understanding can propel us into affirmative action, although there can be some initial level of chaos.

However, it’s important to note that we’re temporarily in the dark about a matter at the time of an eclipse, and we’re seeing another area of life as if we’re looking at it through a magnifying glass. It’s distorted—we don’t yet have the full picture. This perspective does help us, ultimately, but it helps to remember that we’re missing something and to defer judgment.

This is a time to work on clearing up past patterns that have been holding us back from fulfillment in our everyday lives. Read more about this Lunar Eclipse.

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Virgo: March 2025 (Additional Points)

This eclipse affects people with personal planets and points at 19 to 29 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) most significantly.

NEXT WEEK:

The LAST QUARTER MOON will occur on Saturday, March 22nd, 2025, at 7:29 AM EDT.

First Quarter Moon

The FIRST QUARTER MOON occurs on Thursday, March 6th, 2025, at 11:31 AM EST.

On Thursday, the First Quarter Moon occurs, when the Sun in Pisces forms a square with the Moon in Gemini.

There is a crisis theme surrounding any quarter Moon phase, as we feel compelled to take action. Shortly after, we are made aware of how our actions affect those close to us, perhaps through trial and error. Whatever project or initiative we began around the New Moon is now off the ground, and it may face its first obstacles.

This can be a time of stress, clashing, and discord, but also of high energy, motivation, and growth.

This phase of the Moon occurs at 16 degrees and 21 minutes of Gemini square the Sun at the same degree of Pisces, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 14 to 18 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) most significantly.

This week: The Sun is in Pisces; Mercury is in Aries; Venus is in
Aries; Mars is in Cancer.

The Sun is in Pisces from February 18-March 20. With the Sun in Pisces, we are guided by altruistic feelings. We are less motivated to do than we are to feel, imagine, and dream. A “what will be, will be” attitude reigns, and we are guided by a sense of universal correlations. Pisces rules empathy, selfless love, devotion, and wisdom. Its shadow side can include self-pity, a feeling of being victimized by life, passivity, and elusiveness.

While we may not always verbalize our feelings and impressions during this cycle, they’re strong and motivating. We prefer to believe and trust, giving things/people the benefit of the doubt until they prove us wrong. We might often tune out problems or conflicts rather than tackle them head on, hoping they will iron themselves out. Prosperity flows when we’re connecting with our heart, being kind, and helping others. The need to withdraw or retreat to restore our energy is strong from time to time.

Mercury is in Aries from March 3-29 (and later, April 16-May 10). When Mercury is in Aries, we are less concerned with objective viewpoints and explanations, and more concerned with reaching a decision…quickly! Our thoughts and ideas are pioneering, and we tend to speak more spontaneously and directly with the planet of communication in bold and assertive Aries.

There can be quick, possibly impatient or hurried, decisions during this cycle, and our responses are similar: quick and perhaps defensive or combative. We value independent thought, and we can be mentally competitive. executive decisions. We prefer to learn through personal experience, not instruction.

Venus is in Aries from February 4-March 27 (and later, April 30-June 6). With Venus in Aries, love is spontaneous and direct. The chase is very exciting to us under this fiery influence. We are bold, fresh, and a little impatient when it comes to matters of the heart. We don’t look back with Aries energy. We are not interested in saying sorry or dwelling on the past–it’s a brand new day! It’s time to make things work right now.

Aries is known for a love of the chase and the conquest, but Aries love can be longstanding as long as it remains relatively fresh. Aries is blunt–there’s no sugar-coating with Aries. This can sting, but rarely is Aries energy mean or petty. Saying it like it is is important to the sign. Desires are strong and expressed spontaneously, enthusiastically, and directly. Aries prefers to seduce rather than be seduced, to chase rather than be chased.

While Venus is in Aries, we gravitate to Aries-like activities, pleasures, pastimes, and objects of interest. Our tastes can veer toward action, new enterprise, conquests, courageous or daring acts, and so forth. We can be somewhat impulsive with our money or entertainment choices.

Our interests can be insistent and strong, but possibly short-lived. It’s not the best time for holding onto money. We might pour our resources too quickly into new ventures or projects but tire of these things just as rapidly.

Mars is in Cancer from January 6-April 18. (While retrograde Mars returned to Cancer on January 6th, Mars turned direct on February 23rd and continues its transit of Cancer until April 18th.) We pursue our interests ardently, but we avoid a direct approach to going after we want while Mars transits Cancer. As well, our goals and plans are subject to mood swings and vacillations. We are defensive rather than overtly aggressive. Much of what we do depends on our current mood of the moment.

We’re also very intuitive and can be moved to take action to bring peace or comfort and safety to our lives during this period. We go to bat for our loved ones. In fact, we’re fiercely protective. It’s a powerful period for putting ego matters aside so that we can push our plans forward. Inner satisfaction and love are generally more important to us than outer achievements at this time. Personal and domestic goals are our priority during this phase.

Uranus is in Taurus.

Uranus transits Taurus from May 15, 2018, to November 6, 2018, and then from March 6th, 2019, until 2025/6. We approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. Above all, we’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle.

There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. In general, we’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money, are likely. Our income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.Green Pluto symbol next to a pink Aquarius symbol

is in Aquarius. Read about Pluto’s transit of Aquarius. Note that Pluto finally completed its journey through Capricorn on November 19th, 2024, from which time Pluto stays in Aquarius for many years to come.

Romance & Relationships

Venus is in Aries from February 4 to March 27. In Aries, love is spontaneous and direct. The chase is very exciting to us under this fiery influence. We are bold, fresh, and a little impatient when it comes to matters of the heart. We don’t look back with Aries energy. We are not interested in saying sorry or dwelling on the past. It’s a brand new day! It’s time to make things work right now.

Aries is known for a love of the chase and the conquest, but Aries love can be longstanding as long as it remains relatively fresh. Aries is blunt–there’s no sugar-coating with Aries. This can sting, but rarely is Aries energy mean or petty. Saying it like it is is important to Aries. Desires are strong and expressed spontaneously, enthusiastically, and directly. Aries prefers to seduce rather than be seduced, to chase rather than be chased.

This week: Venus is retrograde this week (Venus is retrograde from March 1st to April 12th). On Monday and Tuesday, Mercury aligns with retrograde Venus, and a useful discussion or examination of the past may be in focus. There’s a tendency to analyze relationships and feelings, mainly related to past connections. While this gives us a new perspective on old issues and problems, we still don’t have the complete picture. As well, we may be intellectualizing matters of the heart.

Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:

ywAAAAAAQABAAACAUwAOw==Venus in Aries Romance at the drop of a hat is part and parcel of the cycle you have just begun. Winning the hearts of others can be a challenge you’re eager to accept – and the thrill of the chase might be most of the fun. Is it the pursuit of happiness – or the happiness of pursuit?

Venus contra-parallel Mercury February 19-20. We are voicing our feelings now, but we should be careful not to over-intellectualize our affections. We tend to analyze our feelings and relationships. Interactions bring up questions.

Venus Rx semi-square Uranus March 10-11. Uncertainty about the desire to be close to someone. Freedom versus closeness. A desire to experiment in the romance department may be fleeting and ultimately unsatisfying or frustrating.

Venus Rx conjunct Mercury March 11. Favors playfulness in love and enhanced communication between partners.

The Moon & Timing

The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During the Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects.

The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).

Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart to determine the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass.

The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.

The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:

Void-of-course Moon on Sunday, March 9th, from 5:33 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Neptune), until the Moon enters Leo at 7:00 PM EDT.

VOC Moon on Tuesday, March 11th, from 4:17 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Uranus), until the Moon enters Virgo the next day, Wednesday, March 12th, at 3:56 AM EDT.

VOC Moon on Friday, March 14th, from 1:48 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (an opposition to Neptune), until the Moon enters Libra at 2:59 PM EDT.

Timing with the Moon – Better Periods this Week for Electing New Initiatives

It’s important to note that there are more factors to consider in addition to the windows listed below. The following windows are starting points. For example, you generally don’t want to elect a new venture when a very challenging aspect is applying, and it’s preferable to elect a time when a particularly positive aspect hasn’t yet perfected (is applying rather than separating).

The Moon is waxing this week until the Full Moon on the 14th, which is generally considered favorable for new beginnings, although with some exceptions. (See Best Time to Start a Business for more details). The Moon is waning this week after the Full Moon on the 14th, which is generally considered unfavorable for new beginnings, also with some exceptions.

According to principles of timing with the Moon, a window of opportunity occurs from Saturday, March 8th, at approximately 8:55 PM EST, until Sunday, March 9th, at approximately 5:30 PM EDT, while the Moon is in Cancer. However, Venus is retrograde during this window.

This Week’s Calendar

ywAAAAAAQABAAACAUwAOw==

This Week in Astrology Calendar: March 9th to 15th, 2025

This Week’s Aspects

VenusSemi-squareUranus Venus semi-square Uranus. Unusual attractions (to people and things) can have us acting on a whim. We may deal with freedom versus closeness issues in our relationships. Avoid impulse buys at this time, and hold off on decision-making with regards to finances. Some instability, restlessness, and rebelliousness is probable in romantic relationships. We may not see eye to eye with a loved one, and we could be taken off guard by unexpected events. This is not a favorable aspect for beauty treatments because they could have unexpected results.

MercuryConjunctionVenus Mercury conjunct Venus. Lighthearted conversations, sociability, humor, cooperation. Good time for socializing and for communicating with ease, telling others how we feel, and negotiating. Mentally, we’re not as disciplined as usual, as we prefer to chat with others and to think about more “pleasant” things than work. Generally favorable for commerce.

MercurySemi-squareUranus Mercury semi-square Uranus. We can have flashes of insight, but tend to be scatterbrained. Our ideas and communications may not be well-received because they don’t seem to others to carry weight. Our minds are not peaceful or harmonious under this influence, and irritable tempers, sarcastic speech, and dogmatism are negative expressions of this energy.

SunConjunctionSaturn Sun conjunct Saturn. This is a time when we are called upon to “get real”. We feel the constraints of time and are motivated by the desire to manifest tangible results. It’s “nose to the grindstone” time. We may feel overworked; alternatively, we welcome some discipline into our lives. Avoid launching new projects, particularly financial ones. Instead, work on a new plan for creating order in your life, or on an old project that requires a new commitment. Emotional energy is not enough to fuel us for the time being; thus we could feel sapped on a physical level. However, making new commitments to old goals, shouldering responsibilities, and making careful use of our resources could feed our need for structure and order in our lives.

SunSextileUranus Sun sextile Uranus. We are willing to adapt to new circumstances, ideas, and unfamiliar situations. It’s a good time to join organizations and groups and to attend meetings or social events, as these can be enlightening. We can find creative solutions to problems now and effect positive changes. Flexibility is the key to success under this influence.

Note: Times given in the table/calendar above are Eastern Time (ET).

MARCH 9

With a Mercury-Pallas sextile, we’re expressing ourselves more clearly than usual. This transit emphasizes and brings out the ability to order our thoughts and ideas and recognize patterns. We can enjoy making plans, lists, associations, and connections now, and instructing or guiding comes naturally. Mercury also forms a contra-parallel with Saturn, and our responsibilities, commitments, and limitations are on our minds. Our communications and interactions can feel a little serious or perhaps judgmental in spots.

The Moon continues its transit of the sign of Cancer until 7:00 PM EST, encouraging our desire for familiarity, comfort, and safety. The Moon in Leo from 7:00 PM forward stirs our need to play, express ourselves, and create. We’re enthusiastic and take particular pride in our accomplishments.

The Moon is void from 5:33 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Neptune), until the Moon enters Leo at 7:00 PM EDT.

MARCH 10

The Moon spends the day in Leo, harmonizing with Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter, putting us in a happy, playful, and sociable mood. We’re inclined to share, act, express, and create. We take particular pride in our accomplishments, and we bring more feeling or emotion to our communications, interactions, and mental pursuits. Ideas and thoughts flow smoothly now. There can be multiple possible avenues for satisfying self-expression today.

MARCH 11

Mercury aligns with retrograde Venus today, and both bodies form a semi-square to Uranus–Venus this morning and Mercury early tomorrow. A useful discussion or examination of the past may be in focus. There’s a tendency to analyze relationships and feelings, mainly related to past connections. While this gives us a new perspective on old issues and problems, we still don’t have the complete picture. As well, we should consider that we may be intellectualizing matters of the heart. We can also be dealing with some unpredictability and fickleness, more inclined to follow whims or feel restless until we recognize the need to freshen up our relationships or pastimes. Rumblings of the need to change unhealthy patterns with relating and spending can occur. At the same time, we’re approaching a Sun-Saturn alignment that perfects tomorrow morning, and our responsibilities or limitations are more apparent to us.

The Moon is void from 4:17 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Uranus), until the Moon enters Virgo the next day, Wednesday, March 12th, at 3:56 AM EDT.

MARCH 12

The Moon moves into the sign of particular, helpful, service-oriented Virgo early today, at 3:56 AM EDT. The Sun forms its yearly alignment with Saturn today, indicating the need to rein things in. It’s a time to work on a revised plan for creating order in our lives or on an old project that requires a new commitment. Emotional energy is not enough to fuel us for the time being. As such, we could feel drained on a physical level. However, recommitting to goals, shouldering responsibilities, and carefully using our resources could feed our need for structure and order in our lives and get us back on track.

The Moon continues its period today until the Moon enters Virgo at 3:56 AM EDT.

MARCH 13

The Moon spends the day in the sign of Virgo, and we’re well-positioned to organize, help others, and manage our everyday affairs. Our work ethic is strong now, and we understand what most needs our attention. The Virgo Moon, especially its opposition to Saturn tonight, reminds us of the practical details of our lives. Ideally, we slow down just enough to pace ourselves. However, we’re approaching a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse, which will occur early tomorrow morning, and as the day advances, emotions heighten.

MARCH 14

The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse occurs today at 2:54 AM EDT in the sign of Virgo. This eclipse brings sudden awareness to our lives, particularly areas requiring more order. Something is exposed or illuminated, prompting us to get in touch with things we may have been neglecting or putting off, especially regarding our work, services, habits, health, and routines. This eclipse is the second in a set of seven occurring along the Virgo-Pisces axis from September 17th, 2024, to February 20th, 2027. While we’ve been focusing on building our faith since September 2024, today’s eclipse in Virgo prompts us to consider getting organized and how it affects the work-rest balance.

The Sun harmonizes with Uranus, and we’re more willing to adapt to new circumstances, ideas, and unfamiliar situations. Group connections can be enlightening, and embracing flexibility and innovation can improve our lives. We might arrive at creative solutions to problems and make happy improvements now. Spirits are high, and we’re excited about change. Note that Mercury is heading toward a retrograde station, complicating the day’s energies. It’s best to wait and see rather than push anything forward. At the same time, we can enjoy a spirit of progress.

The Moon is void from 1:48 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (an opposition to Neptune), until the Moon enters Libra at 2:59 PM EDT.

MARCH 15

Mercury stations and turns retrograde today, beginning a retrograde cycle that will last until April 7th.  Some delays or information clogs are possible in the weeks ahead. During this cycle, our thinking turns inward as we review and reassess matters. Mercury retrograde periods can be times of heightened inner awareness–times when meditation, journaling, reworking old plans, and reviewing past work are favored more than usual. Minor breaks in the mechanical aspects of communication and transportation can reconnect us to other, possibly more meaningful, means of connecting. This can be a strong period for reviewing our initiative, courage, and independence. We might look at projects, items, situations, problems, and even people in new ways. Mercury begins its retrograde in the sign of Aries and will head back into Pisces on March 29th. Having both Venus and Mercury retrograde in the signs of Aries and Pisces is notable.

With the station occurring today and the Moon opposing Venus and Mercury, both currently retrograde in Aries, there can be disconnects, especially between our emotions and intellect or sensibilities. Minor disagreements, often about sensitivity to one another’s feelings, are more likely now, and our affections are complicated. There can also be a battle between our need to consult with others and our desire to act independently or our impulse to go rogue.

Moon Signs This Week:

When the Moon is in Cancer

MoonCancer The restlessness of the Gemini Moon gives way to an instinctive need for peace and quiet. A feeling of belonging and safety is what motivates us under this influence. The Moon feels right at home in the sign of Cancer, as it rules the sign. This Moon position has much healing potential. Although insular by nature, our feelings run deep, making it an ideal time to get in touch with what motivates us.

The Moon in Cancer generally favors the following activities: Domestic activities, those that involve awareness of personal needs. Home decor, family get-togethers.

When the Moon is in Leo

MoonLeo The Moon in Leo speaks to our “inner child”. It’s a warm, generous, whole-heartedly loving position. Pride keeps us from pettiness, but it can also prevent us from opening up and revealing how we are truly feeling. We are on stage, our feelings are grand, and we appreciate some drama in our lives. We are easily threatened by anything that seems to be impersonal. This is a time when we seek attention–when we want to stand out for our special qualities. It’s a strong time for romance and any creative activity as well.

The Moon in Leo generally favors the following activities: Creative activities, activities involving children, generous undertakings, undertakings in which personal recognition is desired, and risk-taking.

When the Moon is in Virgo

MoonVirgo We instinctually gravitate towards practical activities under the influence of a Virgo Moon. In an urge to set things right, we might easily find ourselves re-organizing and rethinking plans. Emotional satisfaction comes from solving problems, making order out of confusion, and helping others. Health matters might come into focus. We notice the smaller parts that make up the whole, and instead of letting nagging details bother us, we might work on ironing them out so that we can feel more confident moving ahead.

The Moon in Virgo generally favors the following activities: Mental pursuits, work activities, services, and routines. Activities that would benefit from tending to details.

When the Moon is in Libra

MoonLibra Creating order is the focus, not necessarily through tidying or organizing as was the case while the Moon was in Virgo, but rather through pleasing interactions with others and aesthetics in our environment. We tend to solve problems through diplomacy, and we are more able to put aside our own emotions in order to achieve the peace we crave. The tendency now is to avoid direct confrontations. Decisions do not come easily. Seeing both sides to any given situation is the main reason for hesitation. Fear of losing others’ approval is another.

The Moon in Libra generally favors the following activities: Relationship and partnership issues, activities involving teamwork and cooperation, activities that involve self-examination, activities related to beauty.

Upcoming Weeks: Calendars

THIS WEEK’S PLANETARY POSITIONS BY SIGN (General Trends):

Sun in Pisces The mystic, the martyr, the sinner, and the saint: these archetypes take on greater importance in your life at a time like this. Forgiveness, compassion, and understanding come naturally, when you look at life from an eternal perspective – and if anyone ever does know such things, you’ll probably come to understand them as this cycle unfolds. This can be a phase of sublime spiritual development, to be sure. But you should be aware of tendencies to believe too quickly, too deeply, or to become dependent on things or people that seem to offer quick and easy answers to life’s deepest yearnings.

Mercury in Aries New ideas and an independent or pioneering mental orientation take on more importance in your life at this time. Teaching, learning, communicating, and social contact have a way of outlining new directions in your life now, and there is much activity and involvement with these kinds of issues.

Venus in Aries Romance at the drop of a hat is part and parcel of the cycle you have just begun. Winning the hearts of others can be a challenge you’re eager to accept – and the thrill of the chase might be most of the fun. Is it the pursuit of happiness – or the happiness of pursuit?

Mars in Cancer Defensive, aren’t we? With this new cycle getting underway, protecting and preserving you and yours takes on a higher than usual priority. A sensitivity to the needs and wants of others and an appreciation for their frailties (as well as your own) makes you more cautious and conservative … you pick your battles with care.

Jupiter in Gemini Facilitating the transfer of ideas and information takes on a special priority for you now. Writing, studying, and communicating play a bigger role in your life as a result. The belief that well-informed people will make the right decisions becomes an article of faith. Just remember: sometimes people know the right thing to do and STILL do something different!

Saturn in Pisces Making peace with the past, coming to terms with karmic debts: these are some of the issues that confront you as a new phase begins in your life. Failure to face these things can cause setbacks and put obstacles in your path. Learn to look beyond the narrowly personal and selfish or you’ll get in over your head.

Uranus in Taurus Practicality and ingenuity combine as powerful drives in your life now that you have begun a new cycle. Taking innovative concepts and making them real and practical is your strong suit; getting stuck in the mud is to be avoided at all costs. Financial savvy, inventiveness, worldly genius.

Neptune in Pisces Things spiritual and psychic take the driver’s seat of your imagination as you begin a new cycle. The fine arts and all manner of fantasies assume a larger-than-life importance. Surrendering to fate, karma, and other powers greater than merely mortal may be seen as the ultimate liberation. If all is Maya (illusion), what is the reality that gives rise to the world of appearances?

Pluto in Aquarius Reform, revolution, a rejection of the past and a focus on the future: these are the signatures of the new phase now beginning in your life. Tradition becomes irrelevant, and the conventional wisdom is revealed as dogma or outright nonsense – and what’s the difference, really? Radical changes in all things social and intellectual.
