HBO Last of us Started its Joel-Less story this week, the show’s initial credit cut Pedro Pascal’s name, as well as their silhouette before the title splash. We may feel anger and disadvantage, but I found that the show itself found itself a little indifferent to the loss of the main character.
Certainly, we saw flowers at Miller Niwas, but unlike the game, three months of the incident have passed, and I missed immediate and huge grief. I felt the biggest scene of grief when Ellie cried in Joel’s sleeve at her home. But said that grief was not hanging on this episode. By leaving the amount of that time, people have naturally accepted what has happened and has started moving forward, literally reconstructing their lives. So it was not surprising that the Jackson Council did not send sixteen persons to the sixteen persons to hunt AB and his squad, stating that the risks defeated the prize.
Sitting at the center of the council is Tommy, and I find myself disputed with the character this season. I enjoyed her conversation with Gayle in Pevi Baseball Game, despite my flaws (more in a second), where they talk about nature and nutrition in relation to violence, Gayle said that Ellie believes that Ellie is naturally a violent person and Joel was not an impact on that behavior, but is running together. But Tommy also feels that he is short of agency this season. In the game, Tommy is one that leaves Jackson first in an attempt to find AB, forcing Dina and Ellie to pursue her. In the show, Ellie and Dina closed with a little help from Seth at night, whose violent and disgusting trend supports the revenge mission. I do not mind the changes made for Tommy, they understand within the show’s logic, and the Gabriel Luna is really playing the character well, but I have more than an authority figure, which lacks some emotional nuances for more and more subjects to take revenge.
Views with Tommy and Gayle, support for Ellie in combination with Seth, this episode “tell, show, show” attitude. It does not feel subtle, and a lot of interpretation has been removed as the show takes the audience down these pre-selected paths (no punishment, episode title) to manipulate its feelings, when we should try to find them for ourselves. Has the characters justified in their activities for revenge? The show is telling us the motivations and symptoms of the characters, as explains to us, to tell us, to the viewer. There is also a lack of mystery, thanks to the very early introduction of serafites, aka scars. Although this particular group fulfilled its end by WLF, (it was AB automatically with Ellie), the group and their whisting communication have been given a face quickly, while in the game they are slowly teased and once when you meet them, we are a scary that we leave in the dark what they are saying what they are saying. It relieves too much stress and adds to a series of strange options. Season two thus forming in relation to the game.
route There was a well -motivated episode and a one that sets the stage for the rest of the show, now when Ellie and Dina have made their way to Seattle. But it also lacked nuances, and some of the shows are making changes, I think, are not landing as well as there are versions of sources material events. I am eager as your thoughts, however, and if you are a newcomer for a franchise or an experienced gamer who knows the story.
