BC Lions have signed two versatile American receivers in their training camp roster with NFL experience, adding Lynn Boden Junior and Victor Bolden Junior.
Boden Junior was originally selected in the third round of the 2020 NFL draft, ranked 80th for Las Vegas Reders. Six-Foot-1, the 205-Pounder was listed to run back, but was hypnotized as a versatile aggressive weapon before trading in Miami Dolphin after the training camp in exchange for the sixth round pick. He later spent time with New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints.
Youngstoun, Ohio natives appeared in 26 NFL Games in four sessions, caught 39 passes for 294 yards and took the ball 14 times for 64 more. Along with completing the 32-yard pass effort, he also returned 53 yards for 64 yards and seven pant for three kickoffs. He was recently under a contract with UFL’s DC defenders, but was ever released amidst the final roster cut without playing a game.
Lions General Manager Ryan Rigmeden said in a statement, “Lynn is a true aggressive weapon, the receiver was successful, running back and quarterbacks,”.
“He is a great fit for the bank’s crime and his skill set allows the bank to use it throughout the area.”
Boden Junior appeared in 39 matches for the University of Kentaki from 2017 to 2019, unanimously earned the All-American Award as a junior and won the Paul Hornung Award as the most versatile player in college football. He recorded 114 receptions for 1,303 yards and six touchdowns, ran 206 times for 1,530 yards and 13 large companies, and completed 38 out of 74 pass efforts for three touchdowns. He also contributed to special teams with nine pant returns for 199 yards, two of which brought back for the score.
In Bolden Junior 2017, San Francisco joined 49ers as an unpublished free agent and has since spent time with Buffalo Bill, Detroit Lions, Arizona Cardinals and Houston Texas. In 15 NFL Games in his first two sessions, he returned 24 kickoffs for 512 yards, four pants for 23 yards, and a catch for 10 yards.
The 29-year-old has established himself as a staple of an alternative spring football league Hindola, won the USFL Championship in 2022 and the next year by winning the MVP in an XFL title. He caught 42 passes for 412 yards and a touchdown for Birmingham Stallian, with 25 kickoff returns for 618 yards and 21 pant returns for 21 pant returns at a distance of 176 yards for USFL All-Star selection. He saw action in just two matches for Arlington Renegade in 2023, returned three catches for 40 yards and a kickoff for more than 26. He was final under a contract with Stallian in 2024, but was forgiven before that season.
“Victor is a great fit in this crime and as a return on special teams,” Rigmeden said.
“He is an explosive player who has been successful in NFL and UFL. We have been tracking him for a long time and happy for him.”
Five-foot-eight, 178-pound speedster played collegielie in Oregon State, where he appeared in 48 games from 2013 to 2016. He returned 727 yards for seven tissue and three major for seven touchdowns with 1,863 yards, and returned to three major and three major, and three Majors, all three Tachdowns.
BC Lions finished third in the West Division with a record of 9–9 before losing to Suskechen Rafriders in the West semi-finals in 2024. The team will open its 2025 regular season on Saturday, June 7 at the BC Place Stadium at the BC Place Stadium, with a regular season of 2025, with a kickoff slated for 10:00 pm.
