The most anticipated hotel openings in 2025 are in (almost) every single continent. Technically “almost” – as in a hotel by Silversea will open in the world’s southernmost city, Puerto Williams, Chile, located in the sub-Antarctic region of Patagonia – and from there, you can take boats to Antarctica and elsewhere. Yes, this is a miracle.
Silversea’s new stay is one of many exciting openings around the world: in Amsterdam, a Rosewood will open in the UNESCO World Heritage Canal District, complete with the gardens of Piet Odulf. New York will see the triumphant return of its grande dame, the Waldorf Astoria. Meanwhile, a new luxury lodge is to open in Kenya’s 44,000-acre Suiyan Conservancy – giving adventurers the chance to see the endangered Grevy’s zebra.
Below, the 26 most anticipated hotel openings of 2025.
North America
The Twenty Two, New York (Winter 2025)
Following its huge success in London, The Twenty Two will go transatlantic with a new hotel in a landmark landmark building in Union Square this autumn. Child Studio’s interiors are contemporary interpretations of quintessential American design styles from Shaker to Mission to Craftsman. In addition to the guest rooms, The Twenty Two will also feature a private club as well as a restaurant by the team behind New York City’s favorite restaurant Raf’s.
Terra, Palm Springs (January 2025)
