A European Space Agency Investigation has captured a rare view of Mars, the outer and most mysterious moon of Mars, Dimos.
Hera investigation is on a 110 million miles long journey to inspect a pair of asteroids. But on its way, Hera blew the last Mars and was able to get a small and lump 8-mile wide moon-demos on 12 March.
Hera was traveling more than 20,000 mph as he had a shot from Dimos which was 160 miles away. Hera captured a distant image of Dimos.
Michael Kooppers, scientist at Hera’s mission, says, “These devices have been tried earlier during Hera’s departure from Earth, but this is the first time we have employed them on a small moon, for which we still lack knowledge.”
Mentor Notes that demos “Tidli lock”, which means that it is always showing the same side for the red planet. Scientists estimate that Demos is a huge effect on Mars with a wreckage or an asteroid that is dragged into the planet’s gravitational bridge.
There are two moons in Mars: Phobos and Demos. Phobos are better documented than Deimos, which is thanks to the large and closer surface.
“For Dimos, we do not have many images as Phobos,” says Hera’s leading investigator, “Principal Michelle of University Cot D’Jour,”, France, a prominent investigator of France,, so all opportunities to see Dimos are high values. ” ,
Mars appears blue in the main image because it was taken by Hypercout H Imager near Hera, which, disclosing detailed information about the surface structure of an object, captures data in many infrared wavelengths.
Hera took images as it was moving around the red planet to study the demorphos, a small asteroid that revolves around the large Didimos. You can identify those names NASA deliberately crashed An investigation in 2022.
The dart was a success after replacing the projection of Didimos. Hera dart is on its way to study and slapped to reach its target at the end of 2026.
