Polroid has announced new versions of its immediate cameras, now and now+. The third -generation models bring only incremental changes to the table, although the poleroid promises to improve the overall image quality and performance in bright light.
Now and now the most important update on+ General 3 instant camera is an updated sensor. The ranging sensor drives the two-lens autofocus system of the camera, which is effectively two fixed focus zones that can swap between the camera. To do this, the camera sends out the infrared lights, measuring how much time they take to come back to judge the distance. The camera can then determine which lens is appropriate given that distance. Poleroid says it updates the ranging sensor, allowing the cameras to choose the right lens more often.

Poles also updated the placement of light meter on its latest cameras. The light meter used to be under the view -sighted, but on General 3 models, it has gone under the lens. Poleroid says it will provide more accurate reading and thus, there will be more accurate exposure as it is measuring closer where light is actually entering the camera. The new placement also sits under anything placed above the lens, which makes the camera filter compatible.
Beyond a little better functionality, the poleroid has completely refreshed the colors of both and now+now. Now coral, arctic blue, purple, yellow, pebbles are now available in white, and black, while now+ solid arctic comes in blue, coral, black and white.

Like the previous model, now remains+ connected model, which offers app connectivity for more creative control. As Poroid says, plus is in the name “because it adds” to “experience”. Now General 3, meanwhile, is a more traditional instant camera with no additional control beyond the point-and-shaite nature of the camera. Both cameras are rechargeable via USB-C and use full-sized poleoid I-type film.
The new cameras are available on the Polyroid website to start today and select retailers. More original is now General 3 $ 120, while now connected+ genes 3 $ 140.
