The winners of the Close-Up Photographer of the Year have been declared with an image of two stag beats, who are struggling for dominance on an oak tree, which £ 2,500 ($ 3,100) cash prizes and Close of 2024 Up taking the title of photographers.

The first, second and third places were awarded in 11 different categories, completing their sixth running, close-up photographer of the year in collaboration with the Finity Photo. Attracting over 11,000 entries from 61 countries, a jury of 25 photographers, scientists, journalists and editors spent more than 20 hours on zoom calls to find winners and top 100 pictures.

Svetlana Ivanco has been awarded the close-up photographer of the year for the dramatic photo of two-struggling male Stag Beetle in Russia’s Voronies region.

“For a brief period in summer, stag beets (Lucans Saravas) are engaged in a fierce battle for sexual intercourse rights,” says Ivananko. “These elusive creatures live in the forests of Oak, which makes them difficult to find. I traveled 700 km (435 mi) to see this beautiful incident and I want to share it with everyone. ,
