Photography News: Leica M11-P Safari, Memory Card Deals

Yesterday, as part of my cultural presenting for an upcoming photography campaign, I finished a chapter from an excellent book Amazonia and stories rivers By vladimír plešinger. The hero of this chapter was French mathematician and geography La condamine, God inAnd BauguerBetween his 18th century adventure will be made for a brilliant film.

Actually attracted my attention, however, his names. Where did I hear them earlier? And then it hit me – Utoxerus condamini, Ariocanemis godiniAnd Urocrooa bougore – Three Andian Humingbird species nominated named after him. It is a matter of regret that the second of these is most extinct today.

As much as I interested in courageous people from about 300 years ago, however, let’s go a little further and take a look at the latest photography news from last week.

Recent announcements

  • Tilta portable charging station: A complete photography journey means one thing – you will need a lot of batteries. I usually recommend carrying three or four. And it is always better to be a charger that can charge all of them together, preferably when you sleep. The new charger of Tillta allows you to charge four batteries at a time with 45W USB-C PD power input. Each slot has its own charge status indicator. Is available for Canon LP-E6, Nikon nl 15 c, Fuji NP-W 235 And Panasonic DMW-BLK22 For $ 29.

Will the ecological niche capture the possible Nikon Z7 III?

According to Canon rumors, “Nikon’s next full-frame camera is going to be Z7 III.” But the question is, where can we find a meaningful place in Nikon’s lineup for such cameras? A possible path is to go for even higher resolution. This rumor suggests that the Z7 III will jump into a 67 -megapixel resolution, capturing a new niche in Nikon Ecosystem. However, it is worth noting that (generally more accurate) website Nikon rumors Believe that This rumor does not keep water.

Canon RF 300-600 mm F/5.6L ISM: Saga continues

Over the years, there has been speculation about the successor of Canon EF 200–400 mm F/4L is USM. Most of the time, it was believed that this successor would come as 200–500 mm F/4 (and in wild dreams, even with an underlying teleconverter).

Last month, however, a report suggested that schemes of 200-500 mm F/4 could go into the shelf, and in October 2024 another design has been patented (JP 2024-152941) It can replace it instead. This patent suggests the focal length to move from 100 mm and reduce the maximum aperture to a continuous F/5.6.

Will Canon’s wildlife and sports shooters have to wait for a few more years for the RF 300-600 mm F/5.6L, which is to mourn the USM? “Canon is going to announce 300-600 mm soon,” says a reliable source. And I add, “We will see.”

Fast 35 year year

This popular focal length between photo journalists and documentary photographers is one of a renaissance this year. First, Nikon introduced its 35 mm F/1.2S, quickly followed by Wiltrox with its 35 mm F/1.2 lab. And now it seems that Leica Rangefinder users may be in the next line.

So far, the fastest 35 mm lens for Lika M was Sumilx-M 35 mm F/1.4 ASPH. But the new rumors show that we can see a NOCTILUX-M35 mm F/1.2 in this June. And while its maximum aperture will be impressive, you can bet that the price tag will only be in the form of sublime. Other NOCTILUX lenses hover around a mark of $ 15,000.

For at least wildlife photographers, spring usually leads to the largest crop. This means that it is time for many of us to think whether we have enough storage space for all fruits collected at this time of the year. Here interesting cards have been selected at attractive prices this week:
