Text details provided by architects. Located in itamambuca, Ubatuba, PCW residence is a project that celebrates the relationship between architecture and nature. With 2,799 sq ft, this modern beach house was designed for a sophisticated, welcome refuge that is fully integrated with the natural environment around it. Using natural ingredients such as wood, exposed concrete and glass, the purpose of the design is to create a light, airy and well -light environment, promoting a unique experience of immersion in the local landscape. “The central idea was to create a place that was not only comfortable, but also the natural surroundings, allowing the family to feel harmonized with the environment at all times,” the Theiago Brunini Pitta.
The design of the house was developed to open the outside completely. Rhodrigo Alvas Perera says, “Using large sliding panels, movable bris-salils and wide eaves, we demanded to ensure the integration of indoor and external locations, providing necessary security for family comfort.” Double-hit sealing, which produces a sense of vastness, was one of the major elements, allowing residents to enjoy the scenes of the sky from all points in the living room. Additionally, skylights were installed to maximize the entry of natural light. “Every detail was considered carefully to create an shelter that is integrated with nature, without renouncing sophistication. Wood and natural materials, such as MLC on the roof, were necessary in bringing this feeling of outside heat and connection,” Luiza Querido.
On the ground floor, the social area is integrated with the garden, which has a huge living room that connects to the deck with the kitchen, gourmet area and a swimming pool. Two guest suites ensure secrecy, while the upper floor has the main suites, for a daughter and a master for the couple. The service sector was strategically deployed to not interfere with home flow.
With the concept of “tropical contemporary architecture”, PCW residence stands for its liquidity between indoor and outer locations, always focuses on comfort and practicality for the family. The project took a year to develop, in which construction lasted for 1.5 years.
