Ottawa was taken out by Ulouets in Red -Lac Home Opener (and 13 other views)

On an ideal summer night for football, Montreal Ulouetts rolled in TD position and spread the short-hand Ottawa Redblack with a score of 39–18 to spread its undefinished streak in 11 straight sports in the country’s capital.

Here I have all my views on the game.

1) When your initial quarterback goes down, it is only natural that you expect some kind of drop-off in the level of the game from your backup. After all, if the backup starter was as good, it would not be backup.

With that, even though no one is expecting top-level quarterbacking, you are also not expecting the backup three times by the defensive lineman.

Tonight, Shiltz passed 3, which were intercepting behind the scripture line.

Matthew Shiltz had a handful of impressive throw, especially the touchdown strike that he threw to Bralon Edison in the third quarter, but he had a sluggish performance. The experienced axis finished the night with 205 yards, three of the above three barriers and a touchdown.

When Shiltz was added to the team in the off-season, it was fine for such moments. With the unavailable of Drew Brown, hopefully by paying an experienced backup, you are buying insurance. The way victory cannot be guaranteed, but it should help keep at least things until your starter is back. On bare minimum, your experienced should not be among the main convicts in loss. Unfortunately, it was not so last night.

If Brown is forced to remember more time, it will be interesting to see if the team continues to start the shirts or takes below the depth chart. Third-Ayer Pro Dustin Krum did not do much with his loan drive at the end of the game-a dump-off pass and a check-down well for the damage of the five-yard, which had no hope of transferring chains-but if the experienced is not doing it, the conversation at some point will have to be seen on the table.

2) Speaking about, Krum must be better in executing the quarterback secret. Yes, most of the play’s success is determined by how much push is caused by older men, yet there are things that can secretly help the quarterback to get the ball out of the ball. For example, do not hesitate to choose a difference after getting short and snap.

Dating back last season, Krum had issues of keeping their pads low to play. It is almost the same as it is a habit of running with the ball that he is straight to scan defense and keep his options open. It works on a specific scuffle, but a quarterback is not secretly a scuffle. It is falling forward, run your feet and pray.

Kum is a powerful runner, but he can do more to set himself – and in detail the team – when the team runs the snex, for success for success.

3) It should be accepted that the attack of the aggressive coordinator Tommy Kondel was limited by the fact that he is working without its early quarterbacks, center and correct tackle. In addition, Montreal is certainly the best – and the most aggressive in the league – defense. And yet, Candel did not give himself any favor with some of his play calls.

For example, in the first quarter when it was 3–0 Montreal, Ottawa had balls on the five-yard line of the superbuets. Candel scored a run to William Stanback. The former Ulaouet raised four yards away, taking the ball to a-yard line. While I do not secretly hate QB in that situation, you have to consider how badly the Stanback wants to score against your former team. Why not give him another crack? Especially since you knew that you were going to third place for this anyway.

Of the 15 assets of Ottawa, only two obtained more than 21 yards. Ended in eight rebukes, four in turnover and in three digits. Most of the lack of success of Redblax can be attributed to the fact that they first did average at a distance of only three yards. When you are facing the second and long period of time, it is difficult to maintain the drive.

A week after always failing to include dangerous Kalil Pimpleton in the crime, Ottawa was clearly good to try to bring the ball into his hands, as is reflected by his five goals.

4) To finish 2024, the defense of Redblack was hunted separately and after Big Play. Those explosive negative plays stends from anti -quarterbacks and a porous secondary lack of pressure.

General Manager Sean Burke replaced several stones in Offshine in an attempt to improve those issues – with five offsen additions that began against Montreal – and still remain the issues.

Ottawa managed a single sack etiquette of Ashirwad Ta’ila on 32 Montreal Dropback. In addition to that single takedown, the front intake failed to collapse pockets in most sports, or aloets quarterbacks failed to make life uncomfortable for Davis Alexander.

Montreal receivers often passed with no redbax in the surrounding area. It is no surprise that Alexander set a career-high in passing yards (344) as his people were walking wide. One of those yards came after a full 174 (more than half) catch. It was also not so much that the defenders of Ottawa were disappearing – although it had happened – but it was that coverage was just repeatedly blown.

Overall, Montreal average 7.7 yards before the first down play, and 8.8 yards down. This is a big reason that he changed 64 percent of his second-down opportunities and scored seven of his 13 drives.

If you’re looking for bright spots, Redlax limited Montreal to just two-five in the red zone and the star linebacker Adrian picket kept shining in its return from a broken Akilis tendon, collecting five tackles and a fumbal recovery.

The defensive back CJ Colden made three tackles and picked up one pass for the second consecutive game.

5) A sudden sudden impressive lines came against Montreal. Eugen Lewis was sitting at the Nau-Game Touchdown Streak, one of the all-time records of 10 sets by Terry Evanshane in 1967–68. His best shot in keeping the line alive came in the third quarter when he was interfered with a deep pass that set the ball on Montreal’s One-Yard line. If the defender is not illegally interfered with him, then there is a good chance that Lewis not only makes a catch, but also punches the ball on the round line.

Justin Hardy took a streak of his own in the game, having five games in a line of 100+ receiving 100+. The CFL is recorded in a line held jointly by Hal Patterson (1956) and Terry Greece (1983). That mark is safe for now, as Hardy managed to turn on three goals, which he saw in a pair of catch just 20 yards away.

For the rest of the core receiving, Bralon Edison had 52 yards and a game-high six catches for a touchdown. Pimpleton ended with four catches for 42 yards and Canadian Ruki Keen Kallan White managed two catches for 22 yards, including a reception that took the chain to another place.

6) Hands above if you guess that after two games, William will have only 16 carry at a distance of 55 yards in the name of Stanback. For a team that constantly promotes the desire to be physical and applies its desire to opponents, Redblax has failed to ensure a stable charge for its browning veteran.

After not carrying the weeks 1, Canadian Back Daniel Adeboboy was handed over the ball twice, but no place was found to manage at a total of five yards. Adeboboye found a little more space to work in passing games, holding three passes for 14 yards.

A part of Ottawa issues is experiencing stem from bad blocks by aggressive line, combined with the fact that they have played two excellent defense. There is also a lack of commitment to the run game in terms of play-giving.

But as soon as Ottawa takes his running game back to the track, victory will be followed.

7) Overall, the aggressive line was held against a terrible Montreal pass Rush. For the second week in a row, veteran Jacob Ruby was at the center and the crook American Darta Lee played the right tackle because the pair continued to fill for Peter Gadbar and Zack Palehos.

Where the unit needs to be improved and fasting is in terms of their run blocking. Redblack scored the ball a total of 15 times, yet between the back running back and quarterback snex between the handoffs, the team scored one run compared to only three yards. It is also something that should not be just stuffed on a round line on a pair of QB snex.

8) Their cost continues in Ottawa’s undisciplined game. In the week 1, the squad of Bob Dies was flagged 12 times for 126 yards. In the previous night game against Montreal, the redbax was flagged 11 times for 105 yards with scandal playing. Was the reason for penalty that Ottawa lost the game? Absolutely not. But did they help? Then, not at all.

Veteran defensive back Robert Prester was punished twice for illegal horse-collar tackle, while crime took time-to-death violations, two offsides and procedure punishment. It is difficult to win yourself without digging a hole, which till now you hope the team has realized.

9) This was a concrete turnout for the team’s domestic opener from R-Nation. 21,441 TDs were on hand at the place, but the faithful people of the house did not have much patience with the lack of their team’s production, as Bus had rained due to the first half. In 2024, Redblack set a franchise record of 7-1-1 at home, and if they expect to be equal in 2025, they will have to run a table at home for the rest of the season.

10) Perhaps it is only me, but I am crazy to think that it is strange how every CFL’s official account was highlighted, which has been tweeted, just zoom in a little bit?

Conversely check some highlights that the account of Alouettes was tweeting:

For me, looks much better than each other, and it is not close.

11) For a game that ended as a blowout, it is easy to ignore the fact that it was in fact, a score game at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Things were clearly separated in the final 15 minutes, but the team is worth some credit for hanging with Montreal until he did. Do not make any mistake, Alouettes is the east class until no one proves otherwise and is working with Ottawa, given the injuries to important positions, they were always difficult.

12) While the panic button is not yet needed to press, but warnings are indications that things can go away from the rail if changes are not made. Some are required to be given in terms of secondary and defensive line and lack of pressure from linebackers. There is also a need to have an adjustment in terms of desire to live with a run game, especially if Drew continues to remember brown time. Finally, the results should be results for the litter of the flag. The team will continue to struggle until those issues are addressed.

13) The next Calgary for Redblack is a Saturday afternoon game at McMahon Stadium. Due to the schedule changes implemented after the epidemic, Ottawa has not played there every year, but Redblack has won its last three matches in Calgary (2019, 2023 and 2024). He said, if they want to win their first win of the season, they will need to be very fast next week.
