Onworld is looking at markets where members have an important mass of airlines, but no major carrier, the paper said. Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) in Delhi, Kempagowda International Airport (BLR) in Bangalore, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) in Mumbai are three possible candidates, although the operators of each Indian airport challenge themselves as the operators of the Indian airport prefer to manage themselves.

And lounges do more only than completing the current customers of Vanworld.

“A lounge is a great way to get out this group of airlines … and raise awareness,” said the paper.

Onworld’s Long-torn alliance-wide upgrade program Finally may be close to completion by the end of the year. Since at least 2020, the initiative will allow flyers to use marks from any member loyalty program to upgrade flights on any other member airline.

For example, a member of American Airlines’ Aadvantantage program You can use your points to upgrade flight on Qantas Airways and vice versa.

Piper said that seven out of 14 members of Vanworld already participate in the upgradation program, which is expected to come online with eight online in the coming months.

“This is important, we need to complete it,” he said, citing the struggle to secure resources on each airline member to apply technology behind the alliance-wide upgrade.
