OnePlus Watch 3 is expected to launch soon (probably on January 7). oneplus 13Global launch of?), and we recently had several leaks that tell us what to expect from this watch. Now, Android Authority and AssembleDebug Giving us more information about the features present in the upcoming smartwatch.
Hints of new features were found in the OHealth app (version 4.30.11_e27d199_241122). It looks like there are probably a lot of new features for the OnePlus Watch 3. First of all, the app now supports ECG functionality, and it can detect Afib, frequent PVCs, high and low heart rates, and more. Of course, this suggests that the OnePlus Watch 3 will support ECG (yes, the predecessor does not have ECG).
Meanwhile, your phone must meet certain requirements to use the ECG in the oHealth app, but you may be able to use the functionality directly on the watch.
But not only this. Android Authority also spotted a wrist temperature function in the Health app. You will need to establish a baseline temperature by sleeping with the timepiece on for at least five days, with at least one sleep session lasting four or more hours.

You’ll probably also find a so-called 60-second checkup feature. The feature will measure three key health risks (cardiovascular health, blood vessel elasticity and snoring). It will use seven health indicators, such as blood oxygen level, ECG, sleep, vascular age, and more.

Last but not least, the app will get a Health tab that will host Health Insights and Health Journey features.
Some of these features may eventually become available on older OnePlus Watch models such as the OnePlus Watch 2, but it looks like they will debut on the OnePlus Watch 3 initially. The OnePlus Watch 3 is expected to have the same specs as its predecessor: a Snapdragon W5 chip, 2 GHz of RAM and 32 GHz of storage, and a larger battery than 500mAh.
I particularly like the 60-second checkup feature, and I think it’s an excellent idea to take advantage of sensors and monitoring. ECG is something we’ve come to expect on smartwatches and rivals Apple and Samsung have long supported the feature, so OnePlus is playing a bit of catch-up with it here.
