‘My Spy: The Eternal City’: Ken Jeong and Kristen Schaal discuss a gladiator-style showdown – National

Fans of the original My spy movie, rejoice! Prime Video released the direct-to-streaming sequel and this time the excitement and espionage travel to Italy.

My Spy: The Eternal City reunites many favorite cast members from the original film, including Dave Bautista as hardened CIA agent JJ and Chloe Coleman as his precocious protégé and now-teenage stepdaughter, Sophie.

Together, the duo travel to Italy when a reluctant JJ is convinced to accompany Sophie’s school choir outing, and audiences are treated to breathtaking sights and plenty of action as the duo attempt to thwart a nuclear terrorist plot that threatens to blow up the Vatican.

Much like the original film, which was a huge hit during the pandemic, the excitement is punctuated by some seriously silly and funny performances from returning characters, like Kristen Schaal Bobbi and Ken Jeong David Kim, who reprises his zany CIA role and attempts to foil the destructive plan.
