Julia and Renta Franco have always had an ideological approach, and their new fall collection is no exception. He named it “Frantera” (Spanish for Seema). “What to do with boundaries to Frantera, because you have the first border about physics: how you open yourself (or how you save yourself) is through your body. So we questioned where the limit is – your corporal border – and how we can incarnate it,” he said, called it, called it, call it, call it the most comfortable collection till date. This independence was earlier clear: a cocoon gray dress that hit just above the calf. The hem is filled with wrinkles, but as your eyes move upwards, wrinkles fade – a node for boundaries and how they can be fuzzy.
The tailoring was a large component – especially in oversized ratio. Cuffs of long shirt peep from a voluminous coat sleeve, while the boxy jacket was paired with blurred fabrics. More experimental looks played with fabric meetings and draping: A gray version of the opening cocoon dress was more delicate in its construction but more enthusiastic in the structure.
Franco sisters often collaborate with other artisans for their belongings. In this season, the 18k Gold-Duba Tortilus was used as a pendant and earrings as a result of Lolo’s Lorena Zartouche, and the shrines of Somboos and Hurach were added as the statement details of cuff and necklace. The traditional huarachas worn by the model were created by Baku Artemine.
