soderhamn sofa
According to Andrea Pellerin, founder and lead designer of Studio ACP, Ikea offers buyers a range of sectional sofas, but it’s the Söderham sofa that designers couldn’t leave out.
Pellerin is particularly partial to the open-ended version for its flexibility.
“I love the seating position it offers. It works just as well against a wall as it does in the center of a room,” says Pellerin.

Lomarp TV Unit
While Ikea may be better known for its Scandi-chic aesthetic, there are hidden gems in its catalog that work in more classic settings. The Lomurp TV unit is a piece that Kristin Christensen, owner and lead designer of Mod-Earth Studio, loves for this reason.
“The Lomarp unit keeps a more traditional look with its warm, earthy colors, natural textures and subtle vintage-inspired details,” Christensen explains.
Although looks matter, this piece also offers plenty of functionality. Christensen says it’s perfect for displaying plants and personal treasures, and will easily blend functionality with style.
diving swivel chair
A design classic that first debuted in 1967, the Diveling swivel chair is back with an updated look and professionals can’t get enough of it. Pelerin describes it as an extraordinary item, especially if you choose the green fabric.
“The fresh, bold color gives it a twist, making it a true designer piece that stands out in any living room,” says Pellerin.
And the chair, with its thickly padded seat and slightly inclined back, is also very comfortable to sit on.

Pelerin particularly values the clever shape which means this piece can work on its own or in multiples of two or more, making it perfectly suited to any living room, small or large .
“It fits perfectly along a wall or below a row of windows, but I especially love using it as a more structural element behind a couch To subtly separate two areas within a room,” says Pellerin.
Havberg swivel chair
The Havberg swivel chair may have landed on the radar of IKEA buyers, but not professionals. Christensen describes this chair as an excellent choice for any living room because it is stylish and comfortable.
According to Christensen, the chair is also a practical purchase due to its blend of cotton and polyester, which will provide a soft, breathable texture that is durable and easy to clean. Christensen says the swivel function will also add versatility, allowing you to move the furniture easily and comfortably without having to move or rearrange it.
ivar wall cabinet
Ikea’s Ivar cabinet needs no introduction. This piece is loved by shoppers and designers alike. In addition to its budget-friendly price tag, Pellerin likes how customizable the IVAR is.
“You can easily stain it, add handles, or add legs to create different heights,” says Pellerin. The final form of this piece is almost limitless.
IVAR doesn’t disappoint in customizability either.
“It works just as well on the floor as it does on the wall, and for me, the modularity of this product is what makes it a really successful design,” Pellerin says.
