Five of the biggest features of Nikon ZF Firmware 2.00

Recently there has been a lot of Nikon News, most of the introduction of Z5 II. But its old cousin Zf also received just one firmware update, and it seems very interesting for ZF users. The firmware version jumped from 1.21 to 2.00, and brought some major changes with it. Here are the five most important new features that you are getting.

Nikon Imaging Cloud Service

New firmware accesses zf Nikon imaging cloudThis is a service that allows you to move images wirelessly into Nikon’s cloud service from your camera, and then automatically move to other cloud services from Dropbox, Adobe and Google. First, the only cameras compatible with clouds were Z6 III, Z50 II and Z5 II.

Bird theme

I have an individual favorite autofocus mode bird detection mode on Z8. Now it is available on ZF. This allows you to distinguish birds as the goal of subject recognition, which seems to me to take a picture ever! Just joking, but it should help ZF users who want to take a picture of birds. Especially in photographs where there are many possible subjects, and you do not want the camera to choose incorrectly.

More support for video facilities

If you use the power zoom lens of Nikon Nikkor Z 28-135mm F/4 PZ, now you now get full support for power zoom function on Zf, such as power zoom or power zoom speed to assign a button. It is also possible to use the high-raz zoom feature of Nikon on ZF, which means that full HD video can smoothly use without losing resolution without using a digital zoom (up to 2x). Focus distance display during manual focus

For manual focus fans, Zf can now display distance information during the manual focus for the lens that supports it. This can be quite useful to set your focus distance quickly, especially if you are using the same distance repeatedly or want a fixed amount of magnification.

Live view display goes up to 400%

For hyperchritical focusing, especially when in manual focus, live view magnification now becomes 400%. This increased magnification can be useful when you really need significant attention – for example, astrophotography or macro photography, or even when you stand slightly away from the live view screen.
