Fabio Quartaro gets punishment after disregarding orders during French GP

Yamaha motoogp rider Fabio Quartaro After an incident in Le Mans, the British Grand Prix has been punished with a 10 -minute suspension of the initial practice session.

After crashing on Turn 14 during French GP, Quartaro was considered directly to disregard the orders from Marshal, resulting in a fine in the upcoming Silverstone weekend. He has also been fined € 2,000.

He said: “When it was raining, I first wanted to push the laps like hell. A long -thed and still was still close to Marks. But, it was just raining a little more, and I was not even a moment behind and the bus was completely lost.

“We gave our best. I didn’t expect I really lose it, but it is what it is and we gave our maximum later this week.

“In Le Mans, this is always the same. You never know what it is going to rain, if it is about to stop. But it was light rain, and it was really very low, so I initially pushed a lot, and it was very good.

“It’s a shame, but I really enjoyed the weekend. I think we have managed to get great, great speed and great lap time.”

Quartero said he knew that it was difficult to finish on the podium and would have to push it from the beginning.

He said: “Changing the bike, then starts with double long lap, it was a bit complicated. But I think it was a good option to start with Slix, because we were quite sharp in the beginning, then see what we can achieve in the race, but we crashed.

“Today, the situations were really difficult, and as I said, I wanted to make a condition and tried to work hard from the beginning. We had a good advantage, but unfortunately we lost it very quickly.”

Speaking on record-breaking crowd attendance in Le Mans this yearQuartero said: “I think the crowd is crazy here.

“We can see from Thursday that they were full, they were supporting us. And I think it is great for all French fans to see this atmosphere.”

He also congratulated Zarko and said, “Unfortunately I do not win on my side, but I can imagine Johan’s feeling and of course, congratulate him.”
