FIA, the governing body of F1, has carried forward its efforts with recently launched expedition to deal with online misuse, while F1 and its teams are also working for the moderate comments received on their online accounts.
But when quizzed by Motorsport.com, F1 is now calling on social media platforms to take decisive action.
“No one should be subject to misuse online or in any other form,” F1 said in a statement to Motorsport.com.
“Jack Dowhan and Yuki Sunaoda are great people, are very talented driver, and are ambassadors for our game, who should be treated with respect rather than achieving misbehavior by people hiding behind social media, with their families.
“Formula 1 is a close community, and we all condemn these acts and will continue to work in the game to block and report on social media platforms collectively, but we need those platforms that are more to prevent the spread of wiles and misuse.”
Some of the largest platforms of social media, including X (East Twitter) and Meta Companies behind Instagram and Facebook, have reduced their global content moderation efforts in recent months.
Speaking in Imola, McLaren Driver Lando Noris Said that he has recently cut back from using social media.
Britain said, “I enjoy not going on my phone as much as I used to.” “I just look at social media from my perspective, my time and energy waste, and I just don’t need it.”
