DJI’s latest firmware updates, v01.06.08.04, improves 2x zoom in popular OSMO Pocket 3, smooth focus and professional level color enhancement.
DJI Osmo Pocket 3 The handheld gimbal camera has a standard 20 mm lens with togle wheel for digital zooming. The new mid-tail mode of the update brings 2x mid-tailphoto zoom to 40 mm equivalent focal length. Unlike the standard digital zoom that reduces resolution, this mode retains 4K ultra HD quality and sharpness.
However, there are some caves for 2x zoom: while in mid-tail mode, ISO will cap on 1,600, it does not support activate or night mode, and 2x zoom does not work while living in HLG color mode.
It is important to note that users can still use digital zoom at the top of 2x zoom, first tap to enable 2x zoom and then scroll inside or out using joystick.
OSMO Pocket 3 users who have a creator combo with Snap-on Wide Lens Adapter that brings focal length to 15 mm, receives the most optical options. With this firmware and manufacturer combo, user can select 15 mm with adapters, 20 mm without adapter, or 40 mm with 2x defective zoom mode.
The firmware update also improves the focus of OSMO Pocket 3. Now with the compensation of breathing, the focus infection will be comfortable and smooth. Enthusiasts or professionals who enjoy creative techniques such as focus bridge or tracking moving themes will appreciate better natural breathing.
People who use OsMo Pocket 3 as a webcam for live streaming, video conferencing, or filming materials also get a new feature. Webcam mode now enables D-Log M (10-bit) color for increased vibrancy, saturation, more dynamic range and better editing control for better editing control.
Owner of OsMo Pocket 3 can update your device DJI Mimo App Which has also gained improvement with the latest version 2.2.2. Users can now take video screenshot frames still take video screenshot frames in the form of images or live photos. The app now allows the background file download.
Both DJI Mimo App and Omo Pocket 3 firmware updates have reduced bugs and better stability and performance.
