In December last year, Cosina announced the Voigtlander Nokton Manual Focus 28mm F1.5 Prime sony e-mountIt issued a Update last week This lens will be available from January 23. Now, the lens manufacturer has announced Nikon Z-mount version The same lens, which is expected to be available sometime in February. Kosina currently lists the suggested retail price of both versions at 130,000 yen, or about $833 at the time of writing.

Both lenses are mostly similar, although there are some notable differences. Naturally, the lens Cosina had to adjust each model for the different mount, resulting in slightly different shapes. The Z-mount weighs 360 g (12.7 oz) and has a diameter of 67.6 mm (2.7″) and a length of 57 mm (2.2″), while the E-mount weighs 320 g (11.3 oz) and has a diameter of 62.6 mm (2.5″). and length 55 mm (2.2″). Naturally, there are differences in filter sizes as well. Nikon Z-mount models have a 52mm filter thread, while Sony E-mount uses 49mm filters. The knobby texture is also slightly different between the E-mount and Z-mount versions.

While both versions feature an aperture control ring, which photographers will need to use to manually control the aperture, it appears that one is more suitable for video than the other. Interestingly, the Sony version’s page specifies that the aperture ring can be de-clicked to operate silently while recording video, whereas the Nikon version does not mention this.

The 28 mm F1.5 is designed for full-frame cameras (although these can be used on APS-C models) and with a 12-bladed diaphragm to help produce rounded polka dots. Provides an aperture range of F16. It consists of ten optical elements in eight groups.

The lens is manual focus only, as we would expect from a Voigtlander lens. However, it is equipped with electronic contacts, provides EXIF data and supports in-body image stabilization when paired with a camera that provides it. Additionally, the contacts communicate focus distance, which allows for focus assist features, depending on which camera you are using them with.
