The situation of cricketing cases in Pakistan was already in chaos, in which the men’s national team was struggling to secure positive results on international cricket. And now, the damage done by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) by hosting the ICC Champions Trophy has allegedly burnt a large hole in the board’s pocket. According to a report in Telegraph indiaPakistan had spent 18 billion (about $ 58 million) to upgrade its three champions Trophy Venue -Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi. The cost of the upgrade increased to 50 percent from the anticipated budget.
Later, the Pakistan Cricket Board also spent $ 40 million on the preparation of the event allegedly. In turn, however, his earnings literally were in Penny. According to Pakistan’s dawn, “The PCB recently reduced the match fees from Rs 40,000 without any official announcement … Although PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi intervened, dismissed the decision and directed the board’s domestic cricket department to re -embrace the matter.”
