Cannon announced a new compact point-and-shaite style camera powershot V1 with a 22.3-megapixel sensor and integrated lens. It has a large type of 1.4 sensor and is packed with video features that look designed to take. Sony’s Zv-1 Mark II Creator Camera,
The camera can take both photos and videos, but explicitly designed with video content creators-there is a built-in flash and no electronic viewer, there is only one Vair-Angle LCD. Type 1.4 sensor (fully new from canon) is larger than a certain-lens camera system from the canon and is similar to a micro four third sensor-it is slightly widespread but not quite long. This sensor is not stacked, but with a fleshy 1.4x crop in the center of the sensor, there is enough speed to handle up to 60p.
The camera, deployed as “video first”, is equipped with both canon logs, a built-in three-stop physical ND filter, Cannon’s multi-function hot shoe and both headphones and headphones and mike jack. There is a single UHS-II SD card slot as well as USB and HDMI port.
Canon will ship Powershot V1 with a small Dead cat As a secondary. Powershot V1 also has an underlying fan that prevents heat through visual cooling vent. Thanks to this, Canon says that the Powershot V1 can shoot V1 4KP60 for more than two hours when the auto power is set on the power of high.
The “video first” approach is mirrors in the choice of lenses, which is an equal 16-50 mm f/2.8-4.5 wide-angle zoom (8.8-25.6 mm), which canon designed similar cameras designed similarly Is included in Like G7x Mark III Since the broader area in the past is to support video content creators. Similarly, there are many film shoots “moods” which are available in-camera, the first time for a powershot.
When shooting at a slow 4KP30, the camera can use the entire width of the sensor, and the footage is oversmpized from 5.7K. When capturing the video, the ISO performance can reach 25,600 but in the photos, it goes up to 51,200.
Talking about the pictures, Powershot V1 captures 22.3-megapixel photos for 30 frames per second. The camera is equipped with Canon’s Digic X image processor and has an autofocus system inherited from R6 Mark II. This means that tracking, pupil detection, automotive, people and animal selections are all included and operated with equal efficiency. What is different the subject is tracking: The camera recognizes a subject, corrects to blur, and adjusts the crop position according to the subject status, says canon.
Canon included a photo and video switch behind the mode dial, to change how the camera operates and it will remember different settings for photos and videos independently.
Powershot V1 can interact with a smartphone either with a USB-C cable or through WiFi or Bluetooth through a canon connect app. It can also be used as a webcam, which requires no adapters with direct connections to the computer via USB.
The camera has been announced ahead of the CP+ show in Yokohama next week, which can explain a limited launch. At the time of the announcement, Canon is only confirming that the camera is coming to Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, China and Taiwan, while global availability is to be determined, including all in North America. No pricing or availability (also in limited markets) was provided at the time of announcement.
Petpixel Powershot will try to get time on some hands with V1 samples, when it participates in CP+ Tradasho in Yokohama, Japan next week, where the camera is expected to be on performance.
