Keanu Reeves Spins Out of Control in Racing Debut at Indianapolis Motor Speedway – National


Hollywood star Keanu Reeves made his professional auto racing debut Saturday in an event in which The matrix The star raced at the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Reeves spun into the grass without a collision exiting Turn 9, just over halfway through the 45-minute race. He returned and continued driving, reporting that he was not injured.

Reeves, who qualified 31st out of 35 cars, reached 21st and managed to avoid a first-lap crash in turn 14. Reeves finished 25th.

Reeves, who grew up in Toronto, is competing in Indianapolis in the Toyota GR Cup, a Toyota spec racing series and support series for this weekend’s Indy 8 Hour sports car event. He has a second race on Sunday.

Reeves, 60, drives the No. 92 BRZRKR car, which promotes his graphic novel The book elsewhere. He is teammates with Cody Jones of Perfect guy.

Reeves has previous racing experience as a former Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach entrant in the Celebrity Race. Reeves won the event in 2009.

He is scheduled to attend a 30th anniversary screening of Speed Tuesday in Los Angeles alongside co-star Sandra Bullock.
