Metallica announces world tour, with Toronto as the only Canadian stop
Metallica has announced the dates and cities for its M72 World Tour, which will feature 21 shows in North America next year, including two shows in Toronto, the only Canadian stop.
Toronto will see Metallica perform on April 24 and 26, 2025 at the Rogers Centre.
Tickets will go on sale September 27 at 10 a.m., with pre-sales a few days earlier, on September 23 and 24, according to Ticketmaster.
Several other shows will take place in the United States in April, May and June. The full list is below.
Metallica’s record-breaking M72 World Tour continues for a third consecutive year. The tour kicked off in April 2023 in Amsterdam.
“The 2025 M72 World Tour itinerary will continue the hallowed tradition of No Repeat Weekend, featuring two-show stands each night featuring entirely different setlists and support lineups,” Live Nation Canada said in a press release Thursday.
Live Nation has announced that Pantera, Limp Bizkit, Suicidal Tendencies and Ice Nine Kills will open for M72’s 2025 North American tour. The Toronto shows will see all of the acts perform over the two days. Pantera and Suicidal Tendencies are scheduled for the April 24 concert, and Limp Bizkit and Ice Nine Kills are scheduled for the second concert on April 26, 2025.
The M72 2025 tour will also see the popular American rock band return to Australia and New Zealand.
