17 men arrested during searches in Quebec targeting child pornography and exploitation: police – Montreal
Quebec provincial police say 17 men are facing charges related to possession, distribution or access to child pornography after a series of searches across the province.
The men are aged between 38 and 80 and were arrested between November 4 and 7 as part of an operation led by a provincial police team investigating the sexual exploitation of children.

The police indicate in a press release that more than 200 police officers and civilians took part in around twenty raids.
Police forces from Montreal, Quebec, Laval, Longueuil and Gatineau participated in the operation.
Provincial police say computer equipment was seized and will be analyzed as part of the investigation.
The provincial police’s criminal investigations division includes several specialized teams, including one that works with the RCMP and municipal police forces to combat cybercrime and the sexual exploitation of children.
