6. Keep your dishwasher for easy access to storage
In most kitchens, the dishwasher is easily located next to the sink to simplify loading. While laying your location, also think of ease of taking clean dishes and flatware. Consider where you will stand when you are able to reach the dishwasher door and how easily you can reach the drawer and storage.
Since emptying the dishwasher is a frequent work, a convenient access to storage should be a priority. I have seen many kitchens where an open dishwasher reaches storage for door dinnerware and flatware. Other kitchen layouts require walking in the room to put dishes. Also ensure that there is a lot of space to stand in the sink while loading the dishwasher.
